Entry to mid-level position of Facilities Engineer in the Engineering Department at Maher Terminals LLC in Elizabeth NJ, the largest privately owned marine terminal operator in North America. Provides hands-on support for the facility maintenance and planning activities at Maher’s 500-acre marine terminal facility which operates 24/7. The Facility Engineer supports the Facility Manager by addressing the maintenance needs of the marine terminal through inspections of the terminal grounds, buildings and various other structures and providing supervision and project management support for construction and maintenance & repair activities.

Responsible for accurately and timely processing union employee payroll by calculating wages, deductions, overtime, and bonuses, maintaining employee records, ensuring compliance with payroll laws, and addressing payroll-related inquiries, often working closely with the HR department and Operations to update employee information and manage changes in employment status and pay rates in accordance with the applicable Collectively Bargained Agreement (CBA).
